Kelsey returns to the BCABPC executive board for her third year. She has been active in the pointing dog clubs for the past 9 years. Kelsey looks forward to working with our executives and members to stay connected, train and offer a range of event opportunities over the next year for new and returning pointing dog owners.
Kelsey spends her free time with her family, riding her horse and hiking or doing agility with the dogs. Kelsey is active within the BC Clubs and looks forward to supporting other club events in the USA and in Alberta.
I started hunting with pointing dogs at the age of 12 and entered my first pointing dog field trial in North west bay held by the Vancouver island pointing dog club. The club eventually collapsed and then myself and four others reestablished the club in 2006.I have been judging Hunt tests and field trials for several years in both the US and Canada. I have owned several pointing dog breeds over the years and currently own and handle an English pointer. I have sat on the board of the Northwest field trial counsel and I am the CKC Pointing dog counsel Rep for the Region. Watching a pointing dog doing what they are bred to do is something I will never get tired of.
I got my first Vizsla in 2021 and fell in love with her on point. Shortly after our first field trial/ hunt test season I joined the BCABPC.
With a primary focus on field trialing, I can be found traveling in BC, Washington and many other parts of the US running my dogs in CKC and AKC trials. You will also find us working towards hunt tests titles as well as testing in NAVHDA. Versatility is my ultimate goal for my dogs thus conformation shows are something we compete in. Lastly, one cannot move to the Okanagan without getting their bird dogs on wild birds. We are out and about hunting multiple species of birds during hunting season
I got my first German shorthaired pointer in 2013, and joined the BCABPC. I shortly after joined the board for the club as Secretary.I enjoy hunting wild chukar with my GSP, our favorite activity! When not hunting we do enjoy field work training, pointing field fields/trials, and conformation shows. I also own coonhounds that we hunt with!
Vici has a lot of pointers
Stefany is new to the executive board this year but has been active in the dog world for the last 15 years. She is very excited to help promote more events, training days and resources for those of you in BC who have pointing dogs.Stefany and her German Shorthaired Pointers hunt upland and waterfowl, actively compete in Field Trials and Hunt Tests in BC, Alberta and the USA, NAVHDA, enjoy competing in other sports (nose work, agility, dock diving, rally, barn hunt) and dog shows.
Shannon is new to the executive group this year and fairly new to the world of all things pointing dog. She has a 3 year old vizsla and together they have been enjoying the opportunity to learn and grow as a team to build new skills while meeting new friends. Outside of bird training, they also enjoy canicross, bikejoring, trail running, hiking, agility, kayaking and dog friendly patios!
Living in Vernon with my 2 Vizslas Kayjin (Mama K age 11) and
Magi (Baby M age 5). I love training for field with both my girls and try to get in on the field training days or workshops as
much as possible.I am primarily interested in running my dogs in the Field Tests/Trials and would hunt if
I knew how to shoot a gun LOL.I like running, hiking and biking trails with my dogs. I am a human physio as well as a dog physio (yes it is a
thing with diplomas and certifications) and I am always open to new ideas and suggestions so if you have
any, please feel free to share with me.
Mike has been an active board member of the BC All Breed Club for 3 years. He got his first pointing dog in 2010 and has been passionate about bird dogs all his life.
Mike is an avid bird hunter, from chasing chukar in BC’s interior to waterfowl and grouse close to home on Vancouver Island. Out side of bird hunting he loves photography, running, dog training, hunting and watching his girls in all their sports and activities.
I got involved with the BCABPC in 24 years ago when I got a call about a pointer who was needing a new home. I learned via Jill Koch about the club and attended my first event at Cherry Point Washington due to an avian flu out brake. My wife and I both were active as members of the club and I served as chair for the Chucker Championship for 2 years and then as a director for 4 years before becoming president for 1 year. I resigned due to working out of town, but remained involved with the club in various capacities until today. I also sit on the board of directors for the Pointer Club of Canada, and have worked with the Irish Setter Club of Canada when they ran events in BC.
